Quick Start

From SubiWiki

Create a New Page

To create a new page in Subiwiki you link to it. That is, the act of linking to a page that doesn't exist will create it. Kind of weird at first, but once you get used to it, it makes sense.

There are two ways to create a new page.

  1. Using "Go"
    • Enter the name of the page you want to create in the Search/Go box on the left. Make sure it's capitalized the way you want it, then click "GO" (NOT "Search"). Spaces between words are allowed.
    • On the resulting page, you'll see "There is no page titled ..."
    • Click the red text that says "create this page", and you'll be taken to a new blank page, and you can start creating it.
    • Click "Save page" when you're done.

  2. Creating a link while editing
    • As you are editing (or creating) a page, create a link name using the [[Page Name]] notation.
    • Click "Save page" when you're done.
    • On the saved page, click on the link to the Page Name
    • You will be immediately taken to an edit window if the page does not exist. Start creating the page.
    • Click "Save page" when you're done.
